The first edition of MathCamp was organized in Annaba in 2016. At that time, the main aim was simply to bring together students and their mentors to ‘talk mathematics’ during the summer holidays and improve students’ skills. The organization (housing, food, etc.) was very rudimentary, as seen from the pictures, but the motivation of all participants (tutors as well as students) was very high.
